Common questions
The app can't hear my kid.
Check that the microphone is on for MathYap in Settings, Privacy & Security, Microphone, and that Speech Recognition is on in Settings, Privacy & Security, Speech Recognition. A quiet room helps. Younger kids often do better with Say the whole fact turned on in that kid's settings, behind the Grown-ups gate.
How do I switch kids?
Tap Switch player on the Home screen, or on the Grown-ups tab.
How do I get into the grown-up side?
Tap Grown-ups and answer the math question. It's there so kids can't get in.
How does the free week work?
Every device gets the whole app free for a week, starting when a kid first finishes setting up their Yapper. There's no sign-up and nothing to cancel. After the week, Just practice and Warm Up stay free for good, and MathYap Family opens the rest.
What happens to progress if the plan ends?
Nothing is lost. Practice history, coins, badges, and everything the Yapper is wearing stay put. The trail and the other plan modes lock until the plan is back.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
I bought it on another phone. How do I get it here?
Open Grown-ups, then Settings, and tap Restore purchases. With Family Sharing turned on, the plan works on your family's other devices too. Practice history stays on each device.
Why is there sound with the ring switch on silent?
Sounds play even with the ring switch off, so kids hear the right-answer ding. To turn them off, use the Sounds switch in the app's settings, behind the Grown-ups gate.
